Last night I had a dream
in an Angels arms I lay
Only for a little while
for I knew she could not stay

Her scent it was of heaven
her silken feathers strong
Her eyes as blue as ice
her hair of gold and oh so long

And when at last I heard her speak
it was a magical sound
As though the choirs of heaven
had suddenly become earth bound

She gently took me upon her wings
on a journey I hoped would never end
To a castle far beyond the clouds
where our dreams allow us to pretend

When at last she gently kissed me
I softly prayed I would not wake
As time stood still for she and I
I knew this love I could not forsake

All at once she held me near
and whispered I must go
Her tear filled eyes so saddened now
told more than I was willing to know

For she had seen the same as I
she stared to heaven above
We both now knew deep in our souls
