My Angels, My Friends

I forgot about your angels, 
Lord That they stay always near 
To help me through my days 
When I’m feeling fear. 

I forgot when I’m distressed 
And anticipating harm 
That they are ever ready 
To hold me in their arms. 

I admit sometimes it’s hard 
And my human eyes don’t see. 
And I still feel alone 
Even though an angel is with me.

I just need to remember
That You promised us their care.
And it just takes faith 
To realize they are there.
