Guardian

Can you hear the silent whispers
of my wings as flight they take
Watch them flowing gracefully
though not a sound they make

Glancing over land and sea
my eyes with caring glow
I freely take you under my wing
though you may never know

With warmth I show you comfort
though you know not where it's from
My lovingness surrounds you
and you feel that you are home

As angels roam the earth each day
your burdons theirs to bear
They hold you tight but oh so gently
and you can sense who is there

The feelings you cannot deny
that seem to overcome you
Are from the angel sent your way
when each day starts a new

When you are dreaming on this night
tucked safely in your bed
Know that you are not alone
your worries rest on an angel's head.
