For bringing you into my life,
For choosing me above the others,
For giving us the chance to meet,
For making me your mother,

And on that day I made a promise,
That I would do my best,
To teach you of his loving ways,
Be your guide in your life's quest,

Since that day you've learned and grown,
You've kept him in your heart,
For when I said my time has come,

And I shall soon depart,

You wrapped your arms around me,
And you said simply this...
I love you mother, now close your eyes,
And go with my loves kiss,

And when you get to heaven,
Please tell the Lord above,
That he gave me the world's best mom,
That I've been showered with your love,

Tell him that you've taught me well,
And guided me through life's quest,
That when he chose you for my mom,
He surely chose the best,

I will miss you dearly mom,
And I will surely cry,
But through my tears I will find comfort,
In knowing he is at your side,

And when someday I'm feeling sad,
And maybe lonely too,
I'll look up towards the heaven's,
And know I have an angel in you.
