When I'm gone, release me, let me go.
You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears.
You can only guess how much you gave me
in happiness. Grieve for me a while, if you grieve
you must then let your grief be comforted by trust.
And then when you must come this way alone,
I'll greet you with a lick and bark, "Welcome Home."

Sometimes in life we meet someone online and though we have never met them in person they make such an impact on our lives that we can't help but think of them as family. When they are happy we are happy, when they are sad, we feel their pain. We share every day "little" things through e-mails and it is as though we have known eachother for our entire lives. I am proud to say that my dear friend Linda is one of those people who touched my heart from many miles away. I am truly blessed to have met her and to have formed a friendship with her that will last us for a life time! This page is for my friend who is hurting right now.           "May it pass quickly"

Dear Linda

Dear Linda, my eyes filled up with tears,
as I read your letter today
about how your cherished family member,
had suddenly passed away.
I know at times the words we choose
can't take the pain away, so in
my heart I knew exactly
what I needed to do today.
In honor of the friend you've lost
I offer what I can,
in hopes that you'll find comfort,
and some day know God's plan.

With love from your friend!
Sharon

The Rainbow Bridge
"Just this side of Heaven is a place called The Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor, those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days
and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing, they miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when onesuddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent, the eager body quivers. Suddenly they begin to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, their legs carrying them faster and faster. YOU have been spotted...

and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together......."
