Elaina Jade Steinfurth
December 20, 2011 - June 2, 2013
A Grave Memorial
Angela Steinfurth, who
25 years old at the time, didn't
like the sounds of her 18 month old daughters cries.
Instead of trying
to figure out what was wrong with the child or
trying to calm her down,
Angela threw Elaina, who hit the bed and then landed
against a wall and
as this little Angel lay drying, Angela and her
boyfriend, Steven King
ll, who was 23 years old at the time,
went off and had sex.
2, 2013, Angela reported her daughter as
missing saying she had put her down for a
nap and when she went to
check on her, she was gone. A search took
place, with people searching
the river and the neighborhood, the search
went on for weeks, the child

garage of Angela's home, though at first they
were unable to bring in cadaver dogs. Rumors
were flying and Police
tried to check out each tip that came in.
Psychics had claimed that
Elaina's body was some- where in a
Jerusalem Township field,
crying for her mommy. A woman who was supposedly
Angela's cell mate
said that Angela told her that Steven had
wrapped Elaina's body
in a blanket and thrown her in the river. The
first search of Angela's
garage had not been sufficient and it was
reported that the rafters had
never been checked.
A second search of
the garage using cadaver dogs, revealed that
little Angel Elaina's body
had been there the entire time, in a box. The
first time, cadaver dogs
had not been brought in because there was so
much junk in the way.
Police got a warrant and went back to get the
box. Angela's stepfather
had been there for the searches and he said:
body was not in
the rafters. Somebody went and got that body
and put it there"
Steven and Angel were both arrested and Steven
was being held on
$250,000. while Angela was being held on
In a disgusting move, Angela petitioned the
court for a furlough from
jail so that she could go to the funeral of the
very daughter she had
killed. Angela's Lawyer, Jane Roman, told Judge
Gary Cook that Angela
wanted to pay her last respects privately, at
the funeral home. Jane
presented a letter from the funeral home stating
that private time
could be arranged for Angela to spend time with
her daughter before she
was buried. Thankfully, Judge Cook didn't allow
the woman who had
killed her own daughter to leave jail for the
viewing or the funeral. I
love this judge!
How disgusting of Jane Roman to even THINK
that it would be okay for Angela to attend ANYTHING
related to this little
Angel's service. At the very LEAST,
before going to court, it was clear that Angela KNEW
daughter was dead and that
her body was rotting in the garage and she allowed
so many people to
search for so many weeks, while she knew it was a
waste of time. Angela
had no respect for Elaina while she was alive, why
should think that
anyone thought she had a right to pay her "respects"
after she killed
In court, Steven King said:

her, but blood started coming out of her mouth
and nose. She was hardly
she was unconscious. I panicked. I thought she
was dying. I covered

body in a bag and hid her body in the garage"
Steven King had plead guilty to aggravated murder,
evidence, abuse of a corpse and obstruction of
justice and was
sentenced to life in prison.
Angela Steinfurth was crying in court and she had
nothing to say.
Angela entered an Alford plea, meaning she could
maintain she had done
nothing wrong, say she was innocent, but
acknowledges that there is
enough evidence to convict her. The Alford plea
still means she is
convicted and she was sentence to 18 years to life
in prison and a find
of $25,000. was imposed. Angela had originally been
arrested o charges
of child endangerment, but that charge was dropped
and she was indicted
for obstruction of justice. The Judge had something
