Asher Drake
March 6, 2010 - August 2, 2014

Kyrie Marie Kyle, a 26 year old mother was living with Anthony Deon Dilworth, her 39 year old boyfriend, in a home they had rented only two months prior to the death of Asher Drake, neighbors knew very little about the people living there:

"They really kept to themselves. The only time we ever saw them was if they would
come or go, we never talked to them. They never even cracked their blinds. We never
saw kids in the yard or even knew they had kids over there"
Unnamed Neighbor

"It was unbelievable, I couldn't believe it, I don't know how anyone could to that to
a little boy like that. We never even seen toys out front, you know, acknowledging
that there was any kids there"
Buck Bellinger

On July 30, 2014, Asher was taken by Life Flight to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, he had severe trauma to his head and was placed on life support. Asher's body showed signs of having been abused for quite some time, with bruises having differing colors that showed his wounds to be in many different stages of healing:

"We believe that injuries to the child are a result of an assault at the hands of Ms. Kyle. There
is no update or change in the condition of the child at this time. He is still on life support and
family is gathering"
Guy Buck - Sheriff

Kyrie was accused of pushing Asher into a dresser then he went unconscious so she left him there for at least 30 minutes before calling for help after he started to have seizures. Anthony and Kyrie admitted to police that they had been abusing Asher by biting him, hitting with shoes as well as a belt and leaving bruises all over his body, though Kyrie said she bit him because he bit her first.

Asher was reported to be the son of Anthony from a previous relationship, though it was also reported and Kyrie, who goes by Kyrie Dilworth on Facebook, said that she was about 18 weeks pregnant. Another child who had been living in the home and was believed to be Kyrie's biological daughter, was taken from the home and placed with family members after Anthony and Kyrie were arrested. Kyrie was charged with aggravated child abuse and aggravated assault and Anthony was charged with child abuse, though the charges would change later.

Neighbors started a memorial for Asher with crosses, stuffed animals, balloons and messages.

After Asher died, Kyrie's charges were changed to include first degree murder and aggravated child abuse, aggravated assault and aggravated child neglect or endangerment. Anthony's charges remained the aggravated charges of abuse and assault, though Anthony was not home when Asher was beaten by Kyrie but the past abuse Asher suffered at his hands contributed to the charges against him. Kyrie's bail was set at $1 million and she was facing life in prison if she was found guilty. Anthony's bond was $500,000. and he was only facing four years in prison if found guilty.

Bo Canon learned about Asher's story on Facebook and decided to help.

"You know, I just sit here and I actually had to choke back tears. Like I said,
I don't even know the family or the baby at all. We just sit and say, what, you know,
what can we do, you know, the family's in need of some help, some money for
medical costs.

Bo is a member of a motorcycle club called "Booze Fighters Motorcycle Club" and the club decided to get together for a benefit that would help pay expenses for Asher's medical bills as well as his burial:

"It's short notice, but it's coming together quick. It's getting really big. I think it's going to be
a great turnout. If there's somebody in need all you have to do is make a call and we'll be there"

The benefit was held at Hadley's Pub in Mephhis, Tennessee.
