Family, friends, neighbors, classmates and even strangers go together and made a memorial outside of the apartment where Katelynn Angel Sampson had been murdered. Teddy bears, candles, flowers and notices that had been written on paper and cardboard were left for her.

"I will miss you so very much my precious little angel.
With lots of love, your friend JR."

"She liked skipping, and playing tag"
Olivia Theriault - brought Katelynn a pink flower

"She taught me how to do the double cross"
with a skipping rope"
Olivia Pratt - left a picture she had drawn for Katelynn

Eric Singh had been a classmate of Katelynn's and his mother brought him to leave her a stuffed Yogi Bear. Eric was eight years old and he said that Katelynn was a nice girl and that he favorite subjects had ben gym and swimming:

"She listens to the teacher, she does her work"

.

A candle light vigil was held for Katelynn. Bernice Sampson was there and surrounded by many friends, neighbors and strangers, she listened to them sing:

"Jesus loves the little children. All the children of the world. Red and yellow, black and white,
they are precious in his sight ..."
