| Here's
a little someone we
called Domino.

Domino
was given to my son
as a gift for his 3rd birthday. Though she born of a stray cat and we
adopted
her when she was six weeks old, she always fancied herself to be
royalty
and never accepted anything less than the best treatment. We didn't
mind
though <G> You can just tell by the look she is giving us that we
were
"bothering" her by making her get her picture taken. The nerve of us!
On
August 9, 1999...Domino
had a stroke which left her paralized. We had to have her put to sleep.
She has lived on in our hearts every day since that sad day in August
all
of those years ago. She was 15 1/2 on the day we had to put her
sleep.

Leave
me alone with
a memory

Leave me
alone with a memory
that I don't want to share
let me hold
her one more
time and show how much I care
understand
and let
me mourn for the friend that I have lost
while
sickness silently
crept up on her with death fhe final cost
Leave me
alone with a memory
that burns within my heart
for how can
you know that
from her I can't bear to be apart
all
those happy years
I woke to the sound of her gentle purr
I know you
can't imagine
just how very close we truly were
Leave me
alone with a memory
of the times I watched her play
and how she
used to snuggle
up when bedtime came our way
how
she'd start complaining
loudly if her food was getting low
rub
her forhead on
my chin when I was down, how did she know
Leave me
alone with a memory
kept locked inside just for me
of all the
times she gave
to me a heart full of love unselfishly
I know my
friend is sleeping
peacefully her pain is now all gone
but in my
heart forever she'll
shine and her memory will go on.

Memories
(From the
play "CATS")

Midnight -
not a sound from
the pavement.
Has the
moon lost her memory,
She is
smiling alone.
In the
lamplight, the withered
leaves collect at my feet,
And the
wind begins to moan.
Memory -
all alone in the
moonlight.
I can dream
at the old days,
Life was
beautiful then.
I remember
the time I knew
what happiness was.
Let the
memory live again.
Every
street light seems to
beat a fatalistic warning.
Someone
mutters and the streetlamp
sputters,
and soon it
will be morning.
Daylight,
I must wait for
the sunrise.
I must
think of a new life,
And I
mustn't give in.
When the
dawn comes tonight
will be a memory too,
And a new
day will begin.
Burnt
out ends of smokey days,
the stale
cold smell of morning.
a
streetlamp dies, another
night is over,
another day
is dawning.
Touch
me, it's so easy to
leave me
All alone
with the memory
Of my days
in the sun.
If you
touch me, you'll understand
what happiness is.
Look, a new
day has begun.

| A
cat dies and goes to heaven.
God meets him at the gate and says, "You have been a good cat all these
years. Anything you desire, all you have to do is
ask."
"Well,"the cat says, "I lived all my life on a farm and had to sleep on
hard wood floors." "Say no more," says God, and instantly a
fluffy
pillow appears.
A
few days later, six mice
are killed in a tragic accident and they go to heaven. God
meets them at the gate with the same offer he made the cat.
"All our life," the mice say, "we've had to run. We've been
chased
by cats, dogs, women with brooms. If we had roller skates,
we wouldn't have to run any more." God says he can take care of
it,
and instantly, each mouse is fitted with a beautiful pair of tiny
roller
skates.
A
week later, God checks in
on the cat, who is asleep on his pillow. God gently nudges him
awake
and asks, "How are you doing? Are you happy here?" "Never
been
happier," says the cat, stretching and yawning. "And those
meals on wheels you've been sending over are great!"
