Talking With
Jesus
It was along a seldom
traveled path
we took a walk just
he and I
Along the shores
of the riverbed
under a cold, dark
and clouded sky
He spoke of life
as it should be
with love for sister
and brother
Never anger, pain,
hate or killing
just caring toward
one another
For among my fathers
children
should be a love
beyond compare
just as you would
find in him
if he were also
standing here
My father sent me
to this place
to teach of his
wonderul love
It's not something
he had to do
he could have kept
me safe above
But with his unselfish
sacrifice
he has shown his
love is true
and he doesn't ask
for much
only a few simple
things from you
Love others as we
have loved you
and have faith that
you I can lead
to the land of my
fathers kingdom
which has all that
you will ever need
Pass on to others
the words of my father
let them know that
the time is near
when they can go
and be with him
this precious news
you need to share
For my father so
loved the world
that he freely gave
to every one
A gift that can't
be tossed aside
love given in the
form of his only son
