When you look at a patch of dandylions, 
do you see a bunch of weeds that are 
going to take over your yard?

*Kids see flowers for Mom and blowing 
white fluff you can wish on.

When you look at an old drunk and he smiles , 
do you see a smelly, dirty person who probably 
wants money and Look away?

*Kids see someone smiling at them 
and they smile back.

When you hear music you love, Do you say I know 
I can't carry a tune and don't have much rhythm so I 
will sit self- consciously and listen?

*Kids feel the beat and move to it.
sing out the words. If they don't know them, 
they make up their own.

When you feel wind on your face, Do you brace 
yourself against it. and feel it messing up your hair and 
pulling you back when you walk?

*Kids close their eyes,spread their arms 
and fly with it, until they fall to the 
ground laughing.

When you pray, do you say thee and thou and 
grant me this, give me that?

*Kids say, "Hi God! Thanks for my toys and my 
friends. Please keep the bad dreams away 
tonight. I love you.

When you see a mud puddle do you step around it.
Do you see muddy shoes anddirty carpets?

*Kids sit in it. They see dams to build,
rivers to cross and worms to play with.

I wonder if we are given kids to teach or to learn from?

No wonder God loves the little children!!

"Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you may look 
back and realize they were the big things."

I wish you mud puddles and dandylions!

The Rainbow Connection 

Why are there so many songs about rainbows?
And what's on the other side?
Rainbows are visions, but only illusions
And rainbows have nothing to hide.

So we've been told, and some choose to believe it
I know they're wrong, wait and see.
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection,
The lovers, the dreamers and me.

Who said that every wish would be heard and answered
When wished on a morning star?
Somebody thought of that, and someone believed it.
Look what it's done so far.

What's so amazing that keeps us stargazing,
And what do we think we might see?
