Norman has written at least 1000 songs in his lifetime,
however, he says that
the songs which are the closest to him are the
ones he writes for Jesus and his
family and friends.
On June 14, 2002, Norman's daughter Carly Beth was
tragically killed in a car
accident in California. Carly's boyfriend asked
Norman if he would be willing to
sing at Carly's funeral. With the strength the
Lord gave him, Norman sang a song called “Music of A Baby’s Cry” about
Carly’s miracle at Mt. Zion Hospital in San Francisco he also sang, "The
King Is Coming" and "Oh I Trust You Lord", which the Lord gave him the
night before the funeral. The songs had such an impact on many of the people
attending the funeral and Norman was asked if he could provide copies to
several people.
Norman began to have dreams, sent to him by the
Lord. He wrote about the
dreams in his songs. In these dreams, Norman saw
himself preaching as well
singing and sharing his testimony. With the addition
of more songs, Norman
soon began to realize that his music was not meant
to be shared only among
the family and friends who had attended Carly's
funeral. Norman contacted an old friend who had a recording system and
the friend offered to produce his music for this project. From this union
of old friends comes a CD meant to glorify Jesus Christ and dedicated to
the memory of Carly Beth Morrison.
